But is the platform really that comfortable? How safe is the site built? How does CoinCorner prevent fraud? And with what offers does it attract users? For a good rating CoinCorner has to convince us in many ways. We test customer service, offer, fee model and more so that you can decide whether CoinCorner is worth it for you.
What is CoinCorner?
Is CoinCorner a broker or a stock exchange? CoinCorner is a crypto exchange where you can buy and sell currencies like Bitcoin. As a crypto exchange, CoinCorner does not offer CFDs, Forex and other financial instruments, but concentrates exclusively on direct trading. The company, based on the Isle of Men, had 150,000 users at the end of 2018. Its offering is available in more than 45 countries, including Germany.
In the near future, CoinCorner plans to launch its own Visa Debit card, which will enable customers to pay with Bitcoin online. The CoinCorner debit card is scheduled to be released in 2019.
Crypto currencies are volatile products, which often exhibit high fluctuations in very short periods of time. They are therefore not suitable for all investors. In contrast to CFDs, crypto trading is not regulated and is not subject to regulatory EU directives.
CoinCorner advantages and disadvantages
On the CoinCorner Exchange you can buy crypto currencies like Bitcoin with your credit card. You can then transfer your cryptos to your own wallet or manage them conveniently on the platform. With a 2FA you protect your account. In case of problems the CoinCorner Support offers you the possibility to get in touch directly with an employee in a live chat. The Exchange is unfortunately only available in English.
CoinCorner is not a broker and does not offer financial instruments. Did you intend to trade CFDs with CoinCorner? Then you are wrong here. In this case we refer you directly to the broker, the cryptoscene test winner in the discipline best Bitcoin exchanges and brokers.

- Many payment options (including credit card payment)
Cons

CoinCorner experiences: Without own wallet possible
For a long time, the CoinCorner Exchange had only Bitcoin in its product range, only recently three Altcoins were added to it: Ripple, Litecoin and Ethereum.
It can be very convenient to manage the newly purchased crypto coins easily on CoinCorner. But a safekeeping on a Bitcoin wallet is more secure. The inactivity fee, which CoinCorner charges under two conditions, also speaks in favour of your own wallet: Firstly, your account must not have been used for two full years. Secondly, the fee is due until there are no more credits on the account. So if you transfer your crypto currencies to your own wallet, you are immune from the fee.
However, if you invest in one of the three Altcoins offered (Ripple, Litecoin, Ethereum), you can only keep your currencies on the CoinCorner Wallet – unfortunately, sending and receiving these currencies is not possible with CoinCorner. If you buy Bitcoin here instead, you can transfer it for free.
On CoinCorner you can buy, manage and sell crypto currencies. Four different coins are available for this purpose. Euro and GBP are accepted as means of payment, there are many payment options on CoinCorner. Since CoinCorner is not a crypto currency broker, financial instruments such as CFDs, Forex or stock options are not available.

CoinCorner Fees & Charges
The CoinCorner fee list is quickly summarized. For example, CoinCorner charges fees for selling and buying, as well as an inactivity fee if applicable. For the chosen means of payment fees may also be charged for transactions.
The minimum amount for transactions with CoinCorner is only 5 Euro. Customers can invest a maximum of 50,000 euros per day. When purchasing Bitcoin, the purchase is subject to a fee of more than 1 percent of the purchased coins. The same fee applies to sales. There are also limits for sales: The minimum amount for sales is 5 euros, the maximum amount is 50,000 (per day).
- For sending and receiving Bitcoin via your CoinCorner account, the Exchange does not charge a fee.
- Type of fee Costs
- Purchase fees 1 percent
- Sales fees 1 percent
- Transaction fees For credit card payments: 2.5 percent.
- Inactivity fee after 24 months of inactivity: about 10 Euro/month.
For credit card payments of up to 2,000 euros, a fee of 2.5 percent is payable. SEPA bank transfers, on the other hand, are completely free of charge. Transfers are also possible with Neteller – but at 3.2 percent they are more expensive than the other payment methods available to you for CoinCorner.
There are no other fees for CoinCorner, such as account or custody fees. You may incur additional costs when paying at your bank. In case of doubt, please contact your bank. While transfers within the euro zone are usually free of charge, transfers from outside Europe may incur additional fees.
CoinCorner payment methods
credit card photoCoinCorner offers a small selection of different payment methods from which you can choose the one that suits you best: These include classic SEPA transfers via your bank account, credit card payments with Visa and Mastercard, as well as the online payment service Neteller.
Three payment options
Unfortunately PayPal is not one of the offered payment options. If you are looking for a broker who accepts PayPal, you should take a closer look at our Exchanges comparison test winner. It offers an excellent CoinCorner alternative for buying, but also for trading Bitcoin and many other crypto currencies.
CoinCorner License and Security
Security naturally plays a special role in the selection of the best exchanges and brokers. However, buyers of crypto currencies are particularly challenged in this respect. The fact that you manage your currencies yourself is one of the basic principles in the world of new digital money. No financial service provider earns money from their administration, even if you transfer your Bitcoin from Europe to Asia, South America or Africa.
Preventing CoinCorner fraud: making your own arrangements
The new freedom has its clearly stated price in precisely this respect. So you have to make an independent effort to choose a wallet and create precautions that guarantee the safety of your coins. Depending on the type of investor, different wallets can be the right ones for you. If you want to interact regularly with your currencies, a digital wallet is the right choice. Then you should also consider buying a hardware wallet. If, on the other hand, you want to keep it for a long time, a paper wallet might be the right choice for you.
Under no circumstances should you choose a wallet that is not yet firmly established in the scene. The same applies to the selection of the stock exchange or exchange through which you want to buy your crypto currencies or sell them again. Because cases of fraud are not uncommon in the crypto world. Where you are lured to unpopular sites with outstanding bonus promises, you should become suspicious.
CoinCorner Login: Use Two-Factor Authentication
But even if you choose an established stock exchange, you should remain cautious. Because if your account is ever compromised, your funds will probably be irrevocably lost. That’s why you should choose a secure password and make use of the two-factor authentication (2Fa) that CoinCorner offers you. The 2Fa significantly increases the security of your account, because attackers no longer need only your email address and password to enter your account, but also access to your mobile phone.
CoinCorner also recommends to use the CoinCorner App and to activate the notifications. This way you will be notified when there is a login attempt for which you are not responsible. In addition, you should make sure that you are on the right page before logging in to CoinCorner. Phishing sites often look exactly like the original and are used to find out the data for your login. We have put together an article for you on what fraud scams there are in the crypto world and how you can effectively protect yourself against fraudsters.
CoinCorner Customer Service, Contact & Support
Customer service should be a very important criterion when choosing the right stock exchange for you. In case of a problem, it is good to know where to turn for fast and effective support. The CoinCorner support therefore plays a bigger role in our evaluation.
At first glance you will notice that the offer is also aimed at customers from Germany, but is only available in English. The FAQ (“Help Centre”) is also not available in German. So if you don’t speak English, you’re in for a bit of a mess here.
Live chat option? Live chat option!
We are also surprised that the CoinCorner support advertises to be reachable via live chat, but we can’t find the live chat anywhere even after a long search.
Only after our registration and triple look we discover the small popup in our account bottom right. It may be due to the visual impairment of the author or the somehow too bright and indifferent layout of the page that we only came across it after a good two hours. When we finally discover the live chat, the CoinCorner support answers our questions immediately friendly and competent.
The FAQ also answers a lot of questions that customers ask themselves, quickly and easily. Here we find numerous instructions that make it easier for us to get started with Exchange, and we are informed transparently about the fee model in clearly arranged tables. Alternatively, we can contact CoinCorner Support via a form. There are no other possibilities to contact the support.
